Obligations of a Wife According to Islam

Among the most important and principled obligations of a wife, among others:

Obey the orders of the husband as long as he does not advocate immorality to Allah Subahanahu wa Ta'ala. Because there is no obedience to beings when advocating for immorality and violation of the teachings of Allah, as the words of the Prophet Sholallahu 'alahi Wassalam: "There is no obedience for those who disobey Allah Subahanahu wa Ta'ala". (Sahih narrated by Muslim in his Sahih (4840), at-Tirmidhi in his Sunan (1707) and Ibn Majah in his Sunan (2865) with the words of Ibn Majah and authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani.)

In the physical field, a wife must give good physical service that related to his personal or household needs, so that the worship of Nafilah (sunnah) becomes fallen in order to fulfill the task. From Abi Huraiah rahimahullah, indeed Rasulullah Shalallahu 'alahi Wassalam said: "It is not permissible for a wife to fast (sunnat) while her husband is at home except with his permission (husband), it is not permissible for him to allow others to enter his house except with his permission (husband)," and every property of the husband that the wife spends without her permission, then the husband gets half the reward for her. " (Sahih is narrated by Imam Bukhari in his Sahih (2066 and (5360))), Imam Muslim in his Sahih (2367) and Abu Dawud in his Sunan (1687) and (2458)).

In the spiritual realm, a wife should take care of her husband's feelings and create a calm and conducive atmosphere in the household as well as help ease the burdens and sufferings that befall her husband.

In the field of welfare, a wife should remind the husband of goodness, help in virtue and obedience, help in the social field, be kind to the poor and help the weak.

In the field of education, a wife should help her husband with body and soul and accept all his advice and direction. Similarly, he should help her in educating and correcting children's manners as well as avoiding antipathy/stupidity towards the future of children's education.

Should a wife not file a claim for alimony or anything else that burdens the husband, he should qona'ah in his life.

Not treacherous in herself, her husband's property and her secrets.
