Rawatib Sunnah Prayers and How to Do

It Between each of the two adzan (adzan and iqamah) there are sunnah prayers that are organized to be performed.

Salat is the first practice calculated on the Day of Judgment. Prayer is also the difference between believers and polytheists (infidels).

Whoever keeps the obligatory prayers and enlivens the sunnah prayers then he will be the luckiest person in this world and the hereafter. There are many kinds of sunnah prayers that are organized to be performed. One of them is Sunawat Rawatib Prayer.

Rawatib prayer is a sunnah prayer that is performed before and after the obligatory prayer (five times prayer). Rawatib sunnah prayers performed before the obligatory prayers are called Qobliyah sunnah prayers. Rawatib sunnah prayers performed as a obligatory prayer are called Ba'diyah sunnah prayers.

Rawatib Prayer is divided into 2, namely:

1. Mu'akkad Rawatib Prayer (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to do).

That is a prayer that is highly emphasized by the Prophet and he always performs prayers that is 10 to 12 rak'ahs:
  • 2 rak'ahs before the dawn prayer
  • 2 or 4 rak'ahs before the Zhuhur prayer
  • 2 or 4 rak'ahs after the Zhuhur prayer
  • 2 rak'ahs after Maghrib
  • 2 rak'ahs after Isha
2 Rawatib Ghoiru Mu'akkad Prayer (ORGANIZED to be performed).

It is rawatib sunnah prayer that is less emphasized. As for the sunnah prayers of Rawatib Ghairu Muakkad, namely:
  • 2 or 4 rak'ahs before Ashar prayers (if done 4 rak'ahs, can be done with one salutation or two salutations)
  • 2 rak'ahs before Maghrib prayer
  • 2 rak'ahs before Isha prayer.
Rasulullah has said:

من ثابر على ثنتي عشرة ركعة من السنة

"Whoever keep in prayer Sunnah of 12 cycles, God will build a house for him in heaven four rak'ahs before Zhuhur, two rak'ahs after Zhuhur, two rak'ahs after Maghrib, two rak'ahs after Isha and two rak'ahs before Dawn. " (Reported by At-Tirmidhi No. 379 and An-Nasai No 1772 of Sayyida Aisha)

" (Narrated by Al-Bukhari No. 937, 1165, 1173, 1180 and Muslim No. 729)

From Abdullah bin Mughaffal Al Muzani he said: Messenger of Allah said:

بين كل أذانين صلاة قالها ثلاثا قال في

"Between every two adzan (adzan and iqamah) there is prayer (sunnah). " He repeated it up to three times. And the third time he said, "For anyone who wants to do it." (Narrated by Al-Bukhari No. 588 and Muslim No. 1384)

"May Allah bless someone who performs the prayer (sunnah) four rak'ahs before Ashar." (Abu Daud No. 1271, and At-Tirmidhi No. 430)

from the Sayyida Aisha radi 'anha said:

أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان لا

"The Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wasallam never leave prayer prophetic four cycles before noon and two rak'ahs before the dawn prayer. " (Narrated by Al-Bukhari No. 1183)

"Whoever Rawatib 12 cycles sunnah prayer day and night, it will be developed for him a house in Paradise." This hadith was issued by a Muslim from Umm Habibah. It was also issued by At Tirmidhi with a hasan chain and added to the narration the sunnah prayer of rawatib four rak'ahs before Zhuhur, two rak'ahs after Zhuhur, two rak'ahs after Maghrib, two rak'ahs after Isha, and two rak'ahs before Shubuh.
