How to Sign - True Worship?
Indeed, the worship that Allah has prescribed is built on a solid and standard foundation and tree. It can be concluded as follows:
1. Worship is "Tauqifi" and must be sourced from "Musyarri " (Who has the right to establish the Shari'ah) which is Allah Ta'aala as He said:
فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ وَمَنْ تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا ۚ إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
"So stay on the right path, as commanded to you and (also) people who have repented with you and do not transgress ”. [QS Hud: 112]
The meaning is that worship has been determined by Allah Ta'aala and His Messenger. The mind has no part in its determination.
Allah Ta'aala, also said in the Qur'an :
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ فَاتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
"Then We made you above a Syariah (rule) of the affairs of the religion, so follow the Syariah and do not follow the lusts of those who do not know". [QS. Al-Jatsiah: 18]
Allah says about His prophet:
قُلْ مَا كُنْتُ بِدْعًا مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَمَا أَدْرِي مَا يُفْعَلُ بِي وَلَا بِكُمْ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ
"I am nothing but following what is revealed to me". [Q. Al Ahqaaf : 9]
2. Worship must be done in a sincere state because of Allah Ta'aala, pure from the influence of shirk.
Ikhlas means to worship only for Allah and to Allah, not to other than Him, his opponent is shirk.
Allah Ta'aala has said in the Qur'an:
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ أَحَدًا
"Say: Indeed I am only a human being like you, who was revealed to me:" That indeed your Lord is the One God ". Whoever expects a meeting with his Lord, then let him do good deeds and let him not associate anyone in worshiping him ”. [QS. Al-Kahfi: 110]
If worship is mixed with something shirk, then the worship will not be worth it. The words of Allah Ta'aala:
ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى اللَّهِ يَهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ۚ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
"If they associate partners with Allah, then the deeds they have done will surely disappear" [Al-An'am: 88]
And also surah Az-Zumar as follows:
وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
بَلِ اللَّهَ فَاعْبُدْ وَكُنْ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ
"And indeed it has been revealed to you and the prophets before you:" If you curse Lord, your deeds will surely be abolished and you will certainly be among the losers. Therefore, let Allah alone worship you and let you be among the grateful ". [QS. Az-Zumar: 65-66]
3. In worship should be the role model and the source is Rasulullah shollallohu 'alaihi wa sallam:
"Indeed, the Messenger of Allah has a good role model for you". [QS. Al Ahzab : 21]
لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا
And then,
مَا أَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْقُرَىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ كَيْ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةً بَيْنَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
"What the Messenger gave you then accept and what he forbade you then leave it". [QS. Al-Hasyr : 7]
Rasulullah shallallohu 'alaihi wa sallam said:
- "Whoever performs a practice that does not include our affairs (religion) then he is rejected" (Muslim Narration)
- "Who invented in our matters (religion) that not included in it then he was rejected ". (Muttafaq 'alaih)
- "Pray as you see me praying" (Muttafaq 'alaih)
- "Take you from me manasic (hajj) you" (Muslim narration), And other narrations.
4. Worship has been determined based on time and limitations that can not be violated. For example prayer.
Allah Ta'aala said:
فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِكُمْ ۚ فَإِذَا اطْمَأْنَنْتُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ ۚ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَوْقُوتًا
"Indeed, prayer is an obligation determined by the time for the believers". [QS. An Nisa 103]
الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ ۚ فَمَنْ فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ فَلَا رَفَثَ وَلَا فُسُوقَ وَلَا جِدَالَ فِي الْحَجِّ ۗ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللَّهُ ۗ وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَىٰ ۚ وَاتَّقُونِ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ
"(Time to perform) the pilgrimage is a few months that have been known". [QS. Al-Baqarah: 197]
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَىٰ وَالْفُرْقَانِ ۚ فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ ۖ وَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ ۗ يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
"(Some of the days specified are) the month of Ramadan, the month in which the Qur'an was revealed (the beginning) as a guide for mankind and the explanations of that guidance and the difference (between the right and the wrong). Therefore, whoever of you is present (in the country where he lives) in that month, then he should fast in that month ”. [QS. Al Baqarah 185]
5. Worship should be performed based on love for Allah Ta'aala, humility, fear, and hope in Him:
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ يَبْتَغُونَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمُ الْوَسِيلَةَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ وَيَرْجُونَ رَحْمَتَهُ وَيَخَافُونَ عَذَابَهُ ۚ إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ كَانَ مَحْذُورًا
"Those who call on themselves, they find a way to their Lord who among them is more close to Allah and expect His mercy and fear His punishment, indeed the punishment of your Lord is something (should) be feared ". (Al-Isra ': 57)
Allah said about the prophets:
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا ۖ وَكَانُوا لَنَا خَاشِعِينَ
"Indeed, they always compete in doing good and always pray to us with hope and fear and they are always humble' to us". (Al-Anbiya: 90)
And also:
قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
قُلْ أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ ۖ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ
"Say:" If you (really) love Allah, follow me, surely Allah loves and forgives your sins ", Allah is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful. Say: “Obey Allah and His Messenger; if you turn away, then indeed Allah does not like the disbelievers ”. (Ali-Imran: 31-32)
Allat Ta'aala has mentioned the signs of love for Him and the result. As for the signs are to follow the Messenger of Allah, obedience to Allah, and obedience to His Messenger. While the fruit is to get the love of Allah Ta'aala, the forgiveness of sins, and from His grace.
6. The obligation of worship does not fall for the Mukallaf (who has obtained the obligation), semen-jak he reached puberty and intellect until his death.
Allah Ta'aala said:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
"You should never die except in a state of Islam". (Ali Imran: 102)
And also :
وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ
"And worship your Lord until something that is believed (death) comes to you" (Al-Hijr: 99).
