The Certainty of the End of the Age

The end of time is the day the world ends. The end of time is believed to be the end of all life in the universe. The universe will be destroyed and not a single being will live. Everything is perishing – and maybe the universe will begin a new process, maybe not.

The question of the end times is an interesting and frightening discussion. Interesting because there are so many versions or stories that ensure the end of the world. The frightening cause of the end times is always associated with the destruction of the universe with all its scattered contents.

The end of time or commonly referred to as doomsday is an event that destroys the universe. The waters of the sea, the mountains, and everything on earth will be shattered to pieces. At that time, human beings will surely perish.

End -Time Polemics 

The issue of doomsday can actually be traced to the destruction of dinosaurs. At that time, it is believed that there was a meteor shower that killed the inhabitants of the earth and destroyed the earth. All creatures were declared dead as a result of the incident. 

There are also those who do not believe that it is the apocalypse because the apocalypse occurs after the human habitation on earth, in accordance with the belief in the scriptures.

The end of time is full of diversification with various phenomena that are considered rare. For example, the apocalypse is certain to occur at 09.00, on the 9th, month 9, in 1999. At that time, panic occurred in the community because of the disturbing predictions or rumors that made the community's condition anxious.

In various places, prayers are performed together so that the apocalypse does not happen on that day. The role of religious leaders is very necessary in controlling the atmosphere of anxiety and panic. In addition, the end of time is believed to occur in 2012, precisely on the 20th of the 12th month, 2012.

It is based on the Mayan calendar system which shows the end of the calendar on December 20, 2012. Rumors of the end of time in 2012 were even made in a movie which managed to attract the interest of people in any part of the world.

If traced from a scientific point of view, the earth was hit by a solar storm in 2014.

The solar storm has a bad effect on life. The ice melts, the temperature on earth rises, that's why ecosystems become damaged and many creatures can't survive in those conditions. 

However, scientific events that have not yet happened can be made a frightening version of it by fortune tellers who claim to have received revelations or whispers about the occurrence of the Day of Judgment.

In fact, the end of time or doomsday is a secret of God that no one knows when the event occurred. In fact, even the angels do not know when the Day of Judgment will occur.

In the holy book of Muslims, the Qur'an, the end of time or doomsday will definitely happen and cannot be denied.

Everything contained in the Qur'an contains the truth, both what has happened and what will happen. The end of time is a secret event, only Allah Ta'ala knows when it will happen. 

As Muslims, we must believe that the end of time is sure to come. As stated in the fifth pillar of faith, namely faith in the last day (end of time, doomsday).

Some scholars give many signs of the Day of Judgment. Some of these signs include disasters that occur continuously on a large scale, there has been a lot of disobedience, the occurrence of behavior that is difficult to distinguish between men and women, the rising of the sun in the west, and the most believed is the appearance of the Antichrist.

Some of these signs are believed to have existed, and gave rise to many versions. In fact, the appearance of Dajjal has many versions and is said to have existed. About that only Allah Ta'ala knows better. As Muslims who believe in the last days, we must be able to take wisdom from every event and occurrence that has been and will be.

Doomsday is definitely coming and as religious people we should really be a firm believer: piety towards God. Armed with piety, we will not worry because we believe that we are on the path that pleases Him. Armed with piety we believe that God is with those who are pious and will not suffer the creatures who obey Him.

The Qur'an clearly explains the certainty of the end of time, how these events will take place, and what will happen after the end of time, after all human beings have perished. In many verses it is explained about the events of the Hour and many times it is emphasized that the Day of Judgment is a day that is promised and will surely come.

His arrival cannot be advanced or postponed. Only Allah Ta'ala knows his arrival. The angels are just waiting for the command from Allah Ta'ala to blow the trumpet only once (a kind of trumpet) which marks the destruction of the universe in an instant.

Verses about the End of Time

Here are some verses of the Qur'an that explain the end of time:

Al-Qoriah 1-9: "Doomsday, what is the Day of Judgment? Do you know what the Day of Judgment is? In that day men will be like scattered butterflies, and the mountains like scattered feathers. And as for those whose scales are heavy, then he is in a life of contentment. And as for those whose scales of goodness are light, then the place of their return is the hell of Hawiyah."

Taaha 15: Lo! The Hour will surely come, I will keep it secret, that every soul may be rewarded for what it earned.

Saba 30: Say: "For you is a day promised (the Day of Resurrection) from which you can not ask back for a moment, nor (also) you can ask to be proposed".

Al-Qiyama 6-11: He asked: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" So when the eyes are opened (in fear), and when the moon has lost its light, and the sun and the moon are gathered, on that day man will say: "Where is the refuge?" Absolutely not! There is no shelter!

Al-Waqia 1-21: When the Day of Resurrection occurs, the occurrence of the Hour can not be denied (denied). When the earth is shaken with all its might, and the mountains are shattered to pieces, then he will become dust, and ye shall be three parties.

That is the right group. How glorious is the right wing. And the left. What a misery for the left. And those who were the first to believe, they are the first (to enter Paradise). They are the ones who are brought near (to Allah).

Being in a paradise of pleasure. A large group of those who came before, and a small group of those who came later. They were on couches of gold and jewels, reclining on them face to face.

They are surrounded by youths who remain young, carrying glasses, kettles, and cups (cups) containing drinks taken from running water, they are not dizzy because of it nor are they drunk, from the fruits of what they have chosen, and bird meat from what they want.

Taha 100-108: Whoever turns away from the Qur'an, then indeed he will bear a great sin on the Day of Resurrection, they remain in that state. And evil will be a burden for them on the Day of Resurrection, on the day when the trumpet will be blown, and We will gather on that day the sinners whose faces are dark blue. they whispered among themselves:

"You do not dwell (in the world) but only ten (days)". We know best what they say, when those who are most straightforward among them say: "You do not dwell (in the world) but only for a day".

And they ask thee concerning the mountains, so say: My Lord will destroy them (on the Day of Resurrection) in utter destruction, then He will make them flat. high, on that day man will follow (towards the voice) the caller without turning; and lower all voices to the Most Gracious, then you hear nothing but whispers.

Al-Anbiya 103: They will not be afflicted with great terror (on the Day of Resurrection), and they will be greeted by the angels. (The angel said): "This is your day which you have been promised." (That is) on the day when We roll up the sky as if it were rolled up sheets of paper.

As We started the first creation, so We will repeat it. That is a promise that We are sure to keep. surely We will do it.

Al-Haaqq 13-18: So when the trumpet is blown once blown. And the earth and the mountains were lifted up, and they were struck together. So on that day will be the Day of Resurrection, and the heaven will be rent asunder, because on that day the sky will be weak. 

And the angels are in the corners of the sky. And on that day eight angels will uphold the Throne of your Lord above them. On that day you will be presented (to your Lord), nothing of your state is hidden.

An-Nisa 87: Allah, there is no god (who has the right to be worshiped) other than Him. Lo! He will gather you on the Day of Resurrection, of which there is no doubt. And who is truer in word than Allah?

Al-Baqarah 48: And guard yourselves against the Day when one will not be able to defend another in the least; nor will intercession and ransom be accepted from them, nor will they be helped.

The end of time has been written in the scriptures and it has become our duty to believe it. Believing the certainty of the coming of the end of time will make us always do good, pious so that when the Day of Judgment comes, we will not be among those who lose.

Belief in the last days will make us better in behavior and speech because it is believed that those who witnessed the destruction of the earth include those who lose. Believers will be put to death just before the earth is destroyed.

In the midst of many polemics about the coming and occurrence of the Day of Judgment, we should remain steadfast in the holy book of the Qur'an. 

The Qur'an contains truths that are guaranteed to be authentic, that is why believing and believing in the Day of Judgment is a form of faith in Allah Ta'ala. Because when the end of time happens is only a secret of Allah Ta'ala. Either it's still a long time or it's just a matter of minutes.
