There are many definitions of human morality. Some call it norms or values. There are also those who interpret it as politeness or manners. All the explanations about the meaning of morality above are not wrong, because manners or moral values are the embodiment of human morals.

According to religion itself, morals in Islam have a fairly important portion. In fact, there is a saying from the prophet Muhammad PBUH which states that he was sent to spread the message of Islam on the surface of the earth, one of which is to make human morals more perfect.

Human morality will appear in one's appearance, words or behavior. Walking politely and greeting neighbors is an example of good morals, while walking arrogantly and indifferently is an example of bad morals.

Dressing neatly, cleanly and smelling good is an embodiment of morals that deserves thumbs up, on the other hand, wearing dirty clothes, casually and casually is an image of morals that are not commendable.

Moral reflection also appears when this self is talking to other people. For example, speaking gently and kindly is a commendable character trait. On the other hand, speaking harshly and in a high-pitched voice is unacceptable behavior.

So that morality in Islam can be interpreted as the embodiment of human attitude in front of other humans, in accordance with religious guidance.

It is undeniable, religion is the basic foundation of human morality. One can understand which behavior is good and which is bad, through the lens of the religion adopted.

There are two basics that must be learned in Islam, so that a complete character will be reflected in the individual human, namely:

Islamic Faith

Islamic belief can be synonymous with faith or belief. There are also those who interpret aqidah as the foundation of religion. Believe in Allah Ta'ala. not only believe in the existence of Allah Ta'ala, not only as a creator, but also as a giver of rules about standards of right and wrong, including human morality.

Islamic Sharia

As for the rules that have been set by Allah Ta'ala, it has been clearly written in the Qur'an as His revelation. Also patterned in the actions and decisions of the Prophet Muhammad, as His messenger. This is what is meant by sharia.

Like a house building, the foundation must be strengthened. In order for the building to be beautiful and durable, you must adhere to the rules or composition of a house structure.

Human morality can also look beautiful if the foundation of understanding the Islamic faith is strong, and built on it a moral building in accordance with Islamic sharia rules.
